| the new picture below, which is actually pretty old, brings to mind a bit of information that some members of my family might find encouraging. i've removed the bits of metal that use to reside in my tongue and ear. they were fun for awhile but i think i'm done with them.
oh, and all the red's gone, and my hair's much shorter, between chin and shoulder length. i'd post a picture if i had one and i didn't currently hate my hair.
ok, i'm sure i can come up with something else to say. i feel like i'm misrepresenting myself with all this talk about my appearance. my most recent favorite book is 'a young lady's illustrated primer'. that's actually the subtitle but i prefer it to the actual title ('the diamond age'). it's not all about how great nanotechnology is but nanotechnology and it's amazingness is a big part of the story. sometimes i find it kind of hilarious, like it's a propaganda piece put out by the chemistry groups that do nano stuff so they keep getting all the funding to build their pretty buildings. all that's just a side note though, it's mainly just a story i liked about some people -- and some societies, i guess.

so there it [was]. not a great picture, [there was] that shadow in the back that [made] it look like [i had] one of those 'dos where the women would rat the hair at the back of their head to make it puff up, but i [didn't]. and the red [had] faded quite a bit since i had it done, inevitable but i still [found] it upsetting. 04/24/07 i took out the old one cause i was sick of seeing it. this one's better anyway.
